Café Arugula has been in business for fifteen years, and is considered a staple of South Orange. On Sunday, new owner George Filippatos debuted an All-You-Can-Eat brunch buffet, which is designed to cater to families and students alike.
“Brunch buffets are fun for everybody. In these tough economic times, it is more affordable to pay a flat price and eat as much as you desire. We are offering a wide variety of food to suit everybody’s tastes,” said Filippatos.
Filippatos has been in the restaurant business in Essex County area for over forty years. He bought Café Arugula from Carlo Carbonaro in April, and has been looking for ways to improve the restaurant.
“I understand the customers, and what they want. I am going to provide a fantastic brunch buffet that everybody can enjoy with their families and friends,” said Filippatos.
Adults will pay $15.95, and kids $7.95 for a wide variety of fantastic eats. There is no charge for children under the age of five.
The Menu includes;
- Smoked Salmon
- Fruit Salads
- Potato Salad
- Pasta Salad
- Cured Meats and Cheeses
- Scrambled Eggs
- French Toast
- Chicken Marsala
- Chicken Francese
- Penne ala Vodka
- Rigatoni Pomodoro
Filippatos has also slashed prices for lunch and developed a special take out menu solely for Seton Hall students offering a wide variety of salads, sandwiches and pastas.
“We want to provide high quality but affordable food to our customers, that’s my goal,” said Filippatos.
